The suture split after about 34 Turns. I was getting worried at 26 when it still didnt spllit.

Once it split I got diastema and the pain was in my TEMPLES after each time I did turns or about 2-3 hours that would go away until I did more turns.

Unfortunately about 45 turns in I was eating a hard candy which broke the MSE arms from the olar band and since the gums grew over the bars and the 12mm MSE was such a tight fit in my palate I couldnt get the wire cutters close enough to cut them off to where they ddnt cut my tongue. I tried leaving it that way for a day but my tonge felt it was ripped to shreds after just a day getting poked by that shit. So I took the device out..

In b4 high inhib niggas gloat that it was failure and dn work. That shit was done as good as it can be EXCEPT my soldering. I dont claim to be a good solderer as you could see in the initial video the soldering was amateur as fuck! But fromm a procdure standpoint that shit was done perfectly idiot!!!!!!!! I saw niggas on here last year saying I put it in wrong bc it "wasnt straight" dumbfuck my whole PALATE isn't straight I put it EXACTLY where I PLANNED to put it idiot!!!! But yeah my soldering fell apart after 1 lemon drop.

Tbh I was supposed to redo it a long time ago but I just procrastinate everythhing. It feels like just a few weeks ago. I will redo it I just have not gotten around to it.

One thing I wanted to say is this shit IS NOT a tutorial. Being able to do little self procedures isnt about just knowing how to do it it's about knowing how to troublle shoot when things go wroong which they eventully WILL as you see happened to me. There is NOTHING you can do to guarantee shit goes perfectly! (and things go wrong all the time when done by real dentists to all the smart asses!!!!!!!!!!!!!!)

Not even my ortho had any solution for maxillary cant. Preexisting asymmetry is a real pain in the ass disrupting the trajectory of the expansion.

Atleast you got the suture split.

You will need LF1 to fix cant.

Accept it and start saving.

Thats a shame. You got so far. As I recall you started with a crossbite right? How was your occlusion by the end?

My first thought was to put a hyax expander in to maintain your width. But I don't know if that might cause your teeth to stay wide, but your palate to collapse back at the suture. Or couldn't you cut it down now that its out of your mouth, then screw it back in?

Seems a shame to waste all that effort.

I know I tried dealing with the wire poking but it was impossible my tongue was raw and it was so painful.

Next time I will design it a little different
