I found that people who are being petrified of bugs to much, kinda silly, never found bugs haunting even a bit, only cockroaches come close somewhere. Unironically i find spiders lesst scary.

This thing tho, i think i got ptsd, 48584 legs, the horryfing way it looks, but the worst part, it moves extremely fast that shook me to my core, and it moves super creepy, like some animatronic alien. Fucking got goosebumps everywhere now. Over for my sleep, i miss winter now

I hate those creatures, they are the ugliest bugs. usually they are a sign that you have spiders in your house. put vinegar or lavender essential oils on any openings. usually the smell of those things will keep them out.

I legit never saw one ever, its their speed that petrified me together with those legs, how are they so fast, you would miss where it went if you blink. Also it does some creepy lift up first, before doing the sprinting.

One time I saw a centipede in my house but it entered inside the wall and disappeared.

Also, for some reason there are a lot of silverfish in one of the bathrooms in my house, they appear out of nowhere.

If one of them started doing that sprinting thing up my my foot i would legit have a chance of jumping from the balcony as a instinctual reaction from the sheer terror

I remember when I stayed over at friends house and saw one jump once. the ones in North America and Europe still aren't as bad as the ones in Trinidad. The ones in Trinidad are 30cm long and look like this:

They also have a venomous bite.

Silverfish are way better, not even close as horryfing as this thing, its not an animal tbh, i wish i could burn everything down right now

those insects are literally devilish creatures they exist to inflict a specific terror

I wonder if the urge to burn down stuff for bugs thats used as a meme phrase is just a deep evolutionary human instinct thst we used to do to whole forested areas after seeing something super dangerous. Its not known by mainstream, but humans used to burn down entire forests either as fear control or even revenge. Insects are the only thing to have left this instinct still alive cause of how helpless we were and still are with them, we can't hunt them easily, they breed like crazy, so best solution? Burn everything possible jfl

That actually is what had to happen in some cases. I read a book called "Sapiens" and it explained in humanity's earliest days humans would burn down their camps if it was infested with bugs. the fear of parasite like bugs like mosquitos, cockroaches, centipedes etc is hard wired into the human brain because often times they would carry harmful or deadly diseases that posed a risk to the survival of a tribe or would devour the tribe's resources.

Its insane how this tiny thing scared me much more then 5 stray angry barking dogs do, the feeling with those dogs is a simple fight or flight feeling, but with this bug, its something else, like helplessness, this feeling of just wanting to not exist in that moment or not have eyes so i never saw it. One small bug could in theory kill a huge human adult, so it makes sense why humans find bugs so disturbing

Yeh it’s cus humans view bugs, rodents, snakes and spiders as dirty, diseased, and venomous. Deadly shit innit

When I see creatures like centipedes or spiders it usually fills me with dread knowing that if there is one there is high likely that there is more because they are quick to settle down and nest. Another reason why I think these bugs scare humans so much is because the look so alien compared to us. you got spiders out here with eight eyes and millipedes out here with hundreds of legs.

Fuck this is my fear now, that this one i killed was the only one, cause I haven't saw any other on yet. Also live on 3rd floor, so how did this one even get in here is a mystery for me. I left my balcony door opened for few hours maybe it climbined from outside. I need to cope deeply now

There is probably somebody within your complex that has them and one may have found its way into your space. This is how I got them in my living space last year. a neighbor was struggling with a centipede infestation and they centipedes from their house found their way into my family's. I would recommend putting either lemon juice, vinegar, or lavender essential oils on corners and around the drains as well as make sure you have no crumbs or water on the floor. also try to keep your space low humidity because centipedes thrive in humid areas. if you don't see one for the next 2-3 weeks they are probably gone.
