How the Nose Can Take You From MTN → HTN (My Experience, My Research, and the 3-Part System)

Looksmaxxers will give one look at you and say recessed maxilla with a straight face and. that is complete bs as it doesnt always impact your nose.Genetics play a big impact as me myself i dont have a recessed maxilla where i do agree it could do some growth and improvement but it is not the reason i have a bad nose.
I’ve always struggled with nose insecurities.
Out of everything on the face, I genuinely believe the nose has the biggest impact on how people see you. A nose can take you from MTN to HTN instantly — especially from the side profile.

Most people fixate on jawlines, cheekbones, eyes… but the nose is the center of the face. It controls symmetry, balance, masculinity/femininity, youthfulness, and overall “clean” facial lines.

Over time I’ve researched the nose in detail and split it into three main parts(Note the non surgical options are all the stuff im doing right now):

  1. Radix
  2. Hump / Dorsum
  3. Tip

Each part reacts differently to surgical and non-surgical approaches.
Below is the full breakdown of the methods I’ve explored and looked into.

1. RADIX (Upper Nose Near the Eyes)

Why It Matters

A flat or low radix makes a hump look sharper and gives the hooked effect.
A fuller radix creates a smoother, straighter profile.

NON-SURGICAL METHODS I’VE RESEARCHED

  • Targeting the radix with pressure techniques (bonesmash-style)
Some believe applying repeated pressure over long periods may increase bone density or thickness in that area, slightly raising the radix.
  • Skin/plumping serums
Hydrating and plumping formulas can smooth the transition between the forehead and nose.
High-end versions exist, but Volufiline is a popular budget option that many say gives long-term soft-tissue enhancement.

SURGICAL / MEDICAL OPTIONS

  • Radix filler (hyaluronic acid)
Used to raise the upper bridge and smooth the profile. Lasts months.
  • Surgical rhinoplasty
Permanent modification of the radix height or shape.

2. THE HUMp / DORSUM (Middle Part of the Nose, Mostly Bone)

Why It Matters

This is the part that creates:

  • the hooked nose look
  • profile harshness
  • imbalance from the side

Even a small hump changes your entire face.

NON-SURGICAL METHODS I’VE LOOKED INTO

  • Nose taping with firm pressure
Some people believe that applying constant pressure at night (similar to how braces apply pressure over time) may influence the appearance of the bone over long periods. Progress with this is extremely slow, but this is something I’ve explored.
  • Makeup and contouring
Highlighting above the hump and contouring the sides can redirect light and visually straighten the nose line.

SURGICAL OPTION

  • Rhinoplasty bone reduction
This is the standard method to remove or reduce the dorsal hump permanently.

3. THE TIP (Cartilage + Skin)

Why It Matters

The tip affects:

  • youthfulness
  • length of the nose
  • how harsh or soft the profile looks

A lifted tip instantly improves facial aesthetics.

NON-SURGICAL METHODS I’VE STUDIED OR USED

  • Tip lifting exercises
Exercises involving lifting the tip and holding while smiling are believed to help with muscle engagement and appearance.
  • Tip taping at night
Pulling the tip upward and taping it to the forehead is something some people use to keep the tip elevated temporarily and reduce morning swelling.
  • Lymphatic drainage
Reduces puffiness around the lower nose and tip region.

SURGICAL / MEDICAL OPTIONS

  • Botox to the depressor septi nasi
Weakens the muscle that pulls the tip downward.
  • Tip rhinoplasty
Can rotate and refine the tip.
  • Filler to support the tip
    Creates a lifted, supported look.

A FUTURE AREA I FIND INTERESTING: Tissue Growth Serums

Out of all non-surgical ideas, I think long-term soft tissue plumping serums (like Volufiline) have the most potential.

People use them on the radix, lips, and certain facial areas to build small amounts of volume and smooth out harsh transitions.
There isn’t a lot of scientific data, but from everything I’ve researched, this is a promising direction for minor, gradual contour improvement.

FINAL THOUGHTS

I’ve struggled with nose insecurity for a long time, and after months of researching:

  • the radix
  • the hump
  • the tip
…this 3-part breakdown is the clearest system for understanding how to improve nose aesthetics.

The nose can absolutely take someone from MTN to HTN, even with small changes.

well tell me what things sound skeptical and tbh they all do sound skeptical obvioulsy ive been tracking photos and comparing iv think my nose bridge has shrunk in 1mm size and appears smoother in the descent of the bridge also the tip of my nose does look a bit more lifted due to nose taping and nose strethces but it could all be in my head all of the natural methods ive listed take long term work so it tajes a lot of work

Id be careful around the nasal bridge; anyways u claimed bone smashing the region would project it forward, have u done this?

Thx for the GPT recital.
i always use gpt for structure and introductions while i typed it in it deleted most of my opnions and theorys because they were to dangerous on abt bs like cant influenec bone and stuff so i had to type it back in

Id be careful around the nasal bridge; anyways u claimed bone smashing the region would project it forward, have u done this?
well ive compared and analysed the stuff was very subtle,so ofc i had to use ai right,it said the bridge hump looked much more smoother as it goes down from my radix which is good as the hump is les prominent but still there. Also bone smashing even if it did work it would reallyu grow bone it would just make it denser but ofc i can keep trying to influence wolfs law as much as i can.Best natural tip is volufiline which just apply and massage to radix to give fullness there and give a straighter nose bridge

well it is pretty hard if your a teen or dont have the money also could be religious reasons, and surgery is pretty risky

so you want tip projection, to make it less droopy or do you wunt more fullness like a rounded tip

My nose is straight and has no bumps or irregularities and as soon as it reached the tip it looks fatter, my nostrils are fine

well if its inflammation you can cut down fat and sodium. If its natural i would suggest lymphatic drainage and hydrocortisone in that spot a bit of nose tape would help get a strip of tape the length of a bit bigger than your pinky and put the middle of the tape in the top middle part of the tip so make sure the nostrils arent covered and stretch upward and squeeze lightly and apply to each side of the bridge so gentle tightness and pushed upwrds so this constant pressure overnight over long period could help as cartilage has best chance of remodelling.

The nose can absolutely take someone from MTN to HTN, even with small changes.

wait you made taht thread and please go on to explain which bits you talked about. Also you might be slow as i talked abt the ai situation in other comments ,anyways ai removed most of my stuff because it doesnt go along with ai rules like self harm or diy at homes solutions it always recomends surgery so i used ai for structure and layer also my grammar is really shit then i added my own stuff after since it kept removing
Tales iqlet
but thats literally what my thread talks about even though they might not wark but there theorys and some have a lot of proof behind them while others dont note im trying all the natural methods as of now
No natural method work boyo
Who wants a better nose has to fraud till rhino/alar and no,no shitty massages + tapes are gonna work 4 you
Are you a reincarnation of Patel 'Mog' :lul:

well ive compared and analysed the stuff was very subtle,so ofc i had to use ai right,it said the bridge hump looked much more smoother as it goes down from my radix which is good as the hump is les prominent but still there. Also bone smashing even if it did work it would reallyu grow bone it would just make it denser but ofc i can keep trying to influence wolfs law as much as i can.Best natural tip is volufiline which just apply and massage to radix to give fullness there and give a straighter nose bridge
ur not answering my question directly; so u did bonesmash the nasal bridge area, and ur radix is now higher sat and ur nasal bridge/bone is now forwardly projected? is this accurate?

I will say though the volufiline theory (seems to be that way for now) is quite interesting; would u say this also contributed to ur nasal bridge projection (that is if u applied it)?

well natural since i aint doing nothing externally and injecting into my body they dont have to work but the research is still going also tapes help with cartilage structure and can help shape nose sort of over long period of time

yes tbh the bonesmashing my radix i have seen no improvement, which is as expected but maybe im not doing hard enough or with consistency who knows, but i havent really bought volufiline but am deciding to very soon as im looking into whic volufiline has the strongest plumping effect for right now i would tell u this that the radix to nasal bridge is a lot smoother and less prominent.I dont geth what you mean nose bridge bone forwardly projected as is the whole point not to reduce the look of the hump and big nose look

yo im trynn not fall for the ragebait gotta keep the cortisol under control but i am trackin with my phone but the research and stuff hasnt finished so when its all done i will post before and after.ٰAlso im prety insecure about my nose and feel uncomfortable with posting. Also my camera qualty is absolutely dogshit and you wanna argue more about my 60iq stuff you can go ahead mat these are all theorys that im taking into practis ive name natural solutions for each part of the nose and surgery for each part of course surgery is always the best way to go but not everyone can you get me

does bro want actual pics of me how gay also go on state the low iq stuff ive said and u might be slow as i don't know :/how many times i have to say these are theorys

once again being ridiculously vague with ur answers, its unclear to me whether u PERSONALLY have applied any of these "methods" and if they actually helped, and now ur backpedaling saying the radix didnt actually improve for bonesmashing.

And isnt the whole point of this bonesmashing theory to project the nasal bridge forward/radix higher set (these are equivalent btw); if ur nasal bridge is forwardly projected this could actually REDUCE a dorsal hump type appearance

smh so let me say that ive done all the natural methods and are still doing it as of right now.I have seen no imrpovement in radix fullnes from bonesmashing but the hump contrast is much smoother and less prominent my nose tip is slightlyly lifted whith more support but there is always room for improvement. Also i have noticed that to much lymphatic drainage cane be bad as it makes the skin tight around the nose revealing to much bone making your bone strucutre more prominent. The nasal bridge is a bit more forward but not too much hope this helps
