As I have scrolled around this site a little I have noticed a lot of normies with stubborn/spiky hair and some with cowlicks.
Now you may ask what can I do? I've tried everything. DRYING HAIR IN DESIRED DIRECTION IS COPE. There is 1 solution I suggest.
The first solution and most effective solution to stubborn hair is a DOWN PERM. These are not widely used in western countries however, in asian countries to be specific Korea, this product is used heavily to flatten their ricecel hair. Down perms basically break down the stiffness of your hair and allow it to lay flat on your head. I will explain now a good process to follow by.
1. First do not wash your hair with shampoo for at least 2-3 days. This shit will burn your scalp if you do.
2. Purchase any down perm + neutralizer product online. I've used a brand called DASHU which i can vouch for but all the same shit.
3. Apply to part of hair needed to be redirected
4. Place some clingfilm over your head to hold it down flat then once all held in correct direction put a tight-ish cap/beanie on.
5. Wait 15-20minutes. Then apply neutralizer to reconstruct bonds in your hair so that your hair isnt completely fried.
6. Wash everything off with WARM I REPEAT WARM water as if you use cold or hot it will damage your hair.
7. Shit will stink for a couple days but your hair will mog so who cares. Just cover with strong fragrance.
A few more tips i would give:
- if you are planning to use this for a buzz, it will NOT work as hair needs to be at least 1.5 inches long for it to even have any effect.
- do not use shampoo until a day after at least from down perm usage as this will shorten the life span of effects
- The life span of these affects are roughly 4-8 weeks
