Your proximity to the DJ connection wise is all that matters at these events.
By attending as a paying customer it is almost seen as a status failo as far as getting foid interest is concerned.

It's actually a nice place to vibe and dance to in most events I've been to; just behind the DJ.

'statusmaxxing' doesnt really exist unless you are recording yourself for social-media in which case you're being a dickhead who isn't enjoying the moment and disrupting the vibe.
Good techno-events in the netherlands have your camera stickered on entrance and you can get kicked out if you make photos/record.

Most people follow those rules and don't pull out their phone when there's a cool song playing, a DJ-switch, etc. It is way more chill honestly, I love events where photographing isn't allowed.

I had one bitch recording while dancing one time at a rave where youre not allowed to record, I touched her shoulder and asked her to put her phone away, she obliged.

Good techno-events don't have phones recording. It has people dancing and enjoying the moment.
So then where is the status-max?

Good techno-events aren't published on youtube. The people who were there enjoyed it. The people who weren't there should only know by speech. There shouldn't be video.
