Btw I only properly follow the premier league, laliga, international football games the champions league and sometimes Big games in Bundesliga SO my ranking is based on how I saw them play in those. I don't watch seria a or ligue 1
Useless tier
Rasmus Højlund
70 million pound mistake. Was supposed to solve the striker curse of Man Utd but turned out to be an utter disappointment. He has got the pace to scramble defenders and is relentless with pressing but he always misses. Striker who can't even strike. Got kicked out to Napoli
Timo Werner
Was good at lepzig and transferred to chelsea in 2020 for £40 million pounds but he just couldn't keep up with premier league standards. He always missed. Open nets one on one with goal keepers. Some of his plays genuinely made me question if I was watching the premier league or division 2 football.Used to be main man for Germany but is now firmly useless tier
Mid Tier
Ollie Watkins
Not bad striker when given chance. Main man for Aston Villa. Decent pace, good instincts and is reliable striker but he doesn't have that match winning ability to turn games over. He is decent but needs more fine tuning
Álvaro Morata
The definition of a mid striker. Has played for many big names and has had his moments. Captained spain into becoming champions recently and is a reliable versatile striker but also misses often and doesn't belong in the upper tier strikers in the list
Good tier
Julián Alvarez
Moved to Man City in 2022. Was behind Haaland but was still a good striker. He has good the pace , good instincts and is direct goal line threat with relentless pressing and elite finishing skills. My only gripe with him he is often offside otherwise a very good player imo
Darwin Núñez
A no nonsense striker for Liverpool. Great finishing ability, great pace, good instincts and ability to finish games. Nothing about him is very remarkable but he is an extremely reliable performer and always delivers when he is put on the pitch
Great tier
Robert Lewandowski
Goal scoring machine for over a decade. From himself Dortmund days to bayern to now Barcelona. He always been a very good striker for every team He played. Broke the Bundesliga goals scored in 21/22 and cemented his name as one of the best strikers in the league. At Barcelona He is showing his age but still really good
Kylian Mbappé
Has been the centre of football since he turned 18. Won the world cup for france in 2018 and has already captained France. Amazing striker. Insane pace and ability to score from anywhere even outside the box. World class finishing and golden boots and all the awards and silver ware to boot. One the way to become one of the
Harry Kane
One of my favourite strikes. Carried Tottenham through games countless times. Main man for England and is now in Bundesliga and still performs. One of the best finishers in the world currently. Elite passing ability and instincts to see gaps and scramble defenders He is great bordering on GOAT
but lacks the silverware to make him a GOAT.
GOAT
tier
Cristiano Ronaldo
Started off as winger in Man Utd and slowly transitioned into the most lethal strikers football has ever seen. I grew up watching him and he is just insane. Header, bicycle kicks, knuckle balls, volleys. He is unstoppable. His numbers at Madrid were just absurd. He scored and found the net everywhere he went Madrid, Juventus, Man Utd again and even now in Al Nassar at the age of 40 he is destroying defenders. Extreme work ethic, freak tier athleticism and insane finishing
Lionel Messi
Not a striker. Plays in the false 9 postion but still extremely dangerous when deployed to lead the line or is on the line. He redefined what it meant to be striker. He is one of those naturally gifted people with the most killer Instinct and vision of the game. Him in his false 9 postion at Barcelona completely dismantled defenses and he has been relentless scoring and play making machine. Also one of the best dribblers in history. If there was one word to describe him play it would be the word "artist". Definitely one of the GOATs of the game.
Karim Benzema
One of the most complete strikers football has ever seen. At Madrid he played second fiddle to Ronaldo scrambling defenders, finding gaps and letting Ronaldo score acting as a support and after he left he dragged real Madrid to their 14th title win. Amazing finishing, amazing pace, full of killer Instinct, direct goal line threat and amazing play maker. Nothing much to say other than he is great in everything. Wish he played more football for France just imagine him, mbappe and Griezmann holy shit. What an attacking squad.
Erling Haaland
He is just 25 and already in the GOAT conversation because of his plays in Man City.. He is tall, brute strength great pace and is currently imo the best finishers in football. Dragged man City to a treble. His positioning surgical, his instinct is pure killer mode. You give him half a yard, and it's over he already found the net. The way he times his runs, bullies defenders, and stays ice cold in front of goal at just 25 is unreal. Definitely is in the GOAT conversation
