this is a breakdown of visual manipulation tactics to simulate wider set eyes using only softmaxxing:
1 - hair
you need to grow your hair out and cut it with face framing layers, so that it covers the sides of your face. if your face is on the wider end of the spectrum, exposed lateral width will collapse your ipd visually. covering the sides draws attention inward and isolates the orbital region, exaggerating distance between the eyes.
2 - eyebrows
self explanatory, make sure theyre not too close together, and extend the corners of them outward if theyre short
3 - contrast
if you have subhuman nonexistent brows and lashes you absolutely need to dye them dark. light lashes and brows = low contrast = undefined orbital region = visual compression. darken both. not up for debate
4 - contacts
dark irises can erase pupil visibility, especially under low light, resulting in the eyes looking beady. light contacts will increase sclera-to-iris contrast and restore the definition
4 - concealer
eyebags and darkness under the eyes can draw the attention inward, and it looks subhuman. so cover them up with concealer and make sure to blend well
5 - highlighter
put a small dot of highlighter on the inner corner of your eyes and blend it slightly. or use a special inner eye highlighting pencil. this will open up and brighten the inner part between your eyes
