Man, it makes me cringe that not long ago, I was a self-hating ethnic. I remember during the election cycle, I would tell my White roommates I voted for Trump, and tell them that I loved America. I also remember holding some pro-White beliefs.

I realized ultimately though, I’m never going to be accepted by that crowd of people anyways. Might as well accept myself for who I am, and embrace my heritage. Not to say that I still don’t like some people of all backgrounds, but I’ve begun to like being East Asian more.
