"Grand" means "tall" but it can also means something like "good", "remarquable"...
Example: "C'est un grand homme" -> "He is a remarquable man"
You can describe a beautiful statue by saying: "Quelle oeuvre grandiose !" (Grandiose -> grand)
"Petit" means "short" but you can use it to show how much an action disgust you.
Example: A guy spit on an elderly woman, you can react by saying "Ce que tu as fais, c'est petit" or "Quelle bassesse !" (Bassesse -> bas = short)
A bad action can be called "moche" = ugly
"C'est moche ce que tu as dis"
"What you said was bad"
It's beyond over for manlet and ugly French
