Fresh air makes a big difference to sleep quality and tiredness

Slept with windows closed my whole life cause outside noise, inconvenient apartments, and was always a deep sleeper yet felt like sleeping more even after 10 hrs sleep. Now I have windows on both sides open and suddenly i'm a light sleeper yet feel always properly rested at my routine awakening time (9am). A couple of nights I had to close it cause of scary storm and i went back to the way before, struggling to wake up that morning, much dryer mouth when awakening, air quality noticably stale. Some outside noise does bother me more now (stupid neighbour starting his car at 5am every morning) yet surprisingly air quality supersedes sleep disturbances in overall refreshment gain.

When I am in village and sleep with open windows with fresh air coming in and village night ambience sounds, I sleep like a baby.
