Front camera selfies are fraud

After a long spell of only taking front camera selfies, I today made the fatal mistake of asking my friend to take some profile shots with back camera.
My eyes are uneven, one has nct, my skin looks like its been carved into, my lips are fucking lopsided and i could barely see my chin.
Front camera selfies made me think i just needed a bimax to ascend now i know the only way is a reroll.
It's over.

the problem with mirror is that stuff like hairstyle, clear skin, lip balm etc make a massive difference - like i literally feel like i look htn+ right after a shower but theres times i have shit hair, rubbery skin, chapped lips that i look fucking subhuman.

and i dont think this stuff makes that much difference to other people irl, like i cant remember seeing a good looking guy suddenly look ugly because he has shit hair or chapped lips.

tbh the orientation does not matter, but I use front cause it usually has higher quality. Also you can record with the front (better camera on 99% of phones) instead of picture so you can see how you look in motion. Be warned tho, it looks hella weird seeing yourself from that angle. It really messed with my head.


Also I agree with ur mirror point, most people barley pay attention to small asymmetries or little problems because they are not standing 1 foot away from you like you do in the mirror, most people are a couple meters back and talking to you from a distance so they don’t really notice the small stuff as much.

why? my main issues with back camera is asymmetries being more noticeable - especially on soft features. also skin looked fucked bc no filter. smaller flaws get captured in better quality.

That’s because your use to see yourself as a mirror photo. No actual different for other people who see you. They don’t see the mirror version, but flaws exposes in the same way. Only difference is your eyes is so used to it in mirror.
