Just send them a message you're sick when you don't feel like it. I personally don't learn much when listening to a teacher, so I call in sick some mondays or fridays. It isn't very hurtful for my studies, since I must study and do myself to understand the best and I just browse the internet on my laptop or listen to the music in the class and then read a little for the test.
