There was this truecel kid in my school who everyone made fun of, the girls said that they felt sorry for him when he was not around and they never even spoke to him, they had plenty of opportunity to spend time with him during recess but they never did.

At least some guys in school invited him to play with them out of pity but girls avoided him like the plague even though they talked about how sorry they felt for him.
