Intro
As basically everyone on this site knows, forward growth is the key to beauty for both males and females. A face with no depth is universally unattractive. However this depth doesn’t necessarily have to be from the maxilla. Heres a previous thread with morphs showing that depth can come from chin/browridge/nose alone.
How to get the appearance of forward growth without a forward maxilla/fraudward growth:
1) gonial+chin fillers
The gonion is the corner point of the jaw, where the ramus meets the mandible. Applying fillers both here and at the chin creates the appearance of a elongated mandible, (which would happen naturally to match a forward grown maxilla). This creates depth to the face without any change to the maxilla.
2) neck angle
Heres two photos of Sean Opry, which appear to have noticeably different degrees of forward growth. The only difference between them is the angle of the neck, highlighted in red. Where the neck is angled back so that the mandible is parallel to the floor the face appears more forward in profile. Keeping your neck angled in this way will give you the same effect.
3) Nose + browridge/chin
Heres a morph i made of Sean Opry, showing that even when his maxilla is morphed into a more recessed state he still appears to have depth to his face because of the prominence of the chin and browridge. This isn’t always enough however, this is a photo of an acromegaly patient, who despite having prominent brow and chin still lacks depth to the face.
However with the addition of fillers to the nasal bridge, gonion and angling the head back, he can fraud the appearance of more forward growth. (This is a morph showing how these adjustments would look)
Conclusion
Combining these three methods can add depth to the face without touching the maxilla.
