Accomplishments aren't what leave an imprint on this world for the majority of people. Sure if you're von neumann great you're the smartest guy to have ever lived and discovered multiple things in multiple different domains. If you're Joe shmo like the rest of us your legacy doesn't come from the stack of papers that you finished on your desk at the end of the day. On your death bed you're not thinking of algorithms that could make servers more energy efficient.

It's the relationships that you built on the way, how you interacted with those people, and mainly your genetics that carries on in this world. An honest good looking plumber that married their GL HS sweetheart and raised a loving family will have a million times more life satisfaction than some ugly incel that created the next big mobile game by cheating over someone else.
