We'll have to wait and see.
It was an unexpected release and the new features aren't exactly clear yet.
Looks hopeful though.

Witcher 1 could be good. It has aged like absolute milk.

The Witcher: Enhanced Edition Director ...

At this point they better remaking old games than doing new ones. Most new games are soulless or mid.

That's how I feel too.
We're at the stage where the bottleneck is no longer the graphics but the actual developers making the games now.

It's good. I enjoyed the musical tracks in particular.
Robot Hell is a classic.
my favorite episode is The Late Phillip J Fry along with Jurassic Bark

the song in that episode is also really good

I haven't watched this in a while but I still remember the line "in the year one million and a half, mankind has been enslaved by giraffe"

Yes, MGS 3 really needs a remake.
I felt that Phantom Pain really refined the gameplay formula to its best.

Yeah and the cause is because development time became too long, to make your average big game with decent quality you need at the bare minimum 6 years, but most devs must do a game in 5 years max because they want money so remakes seems the perfect choice considering all of the ps1-3 era masterpieces. This year i'm only going to buy mgs3 remake and prolly death stranding 2, don't care about gta6.

I think the games industry has also become a victim of its success.
It's now a multi billion dollar industry larger than the films industry with public companies.
Developers are now subject to the demands of shareholders and it's fucked up the creative direction of many games.

Really? I'm surprised. That game still plays very well today.

That's why there's a compelling case to remake the OGs though!

I can see the argument but it's not that old and plays pretty damn well even now.
There's a huge untapped market for pirates games that was left after AC black flag.

Yeah, devs can't keep up with this anymore and the only solution is to make smaller but higher quality games. Not to mention many games have been fucked by mub lgbt choices, like AC shadows, with all the historically accurate japanese samurais japan have they chose a black one, hope ubilol will pay for doing such bullshit.

Some of the best video game IPs came from developers with limited budgets that were forced to take creative risks.
Bioshock, Mass Effect, Halo and more would never have got off the ground in today's environment.

Besides the graphic and long ass loading screens it aged pretty well and it's still one of the best chapters, the combat isn't even bad for an action adventure and I heard they are changing it, hopefully they don’t make it like odyssey jfl.

The irony is that there was more creativity in times where the hardware was a huge limit, nowadays this isn't a problem anymore yet besides old IPs with their own identity most games looks the same. They have the same game and quest design. And so on.

Too bad last halo was a huge flop and ME seeing how bad modern bioware is is basically a dead serie that had a shitty game as last one, pretty sad seeing lots of good series failing these days all because of greedy corporations.

It's no coincidence. Finite resources forces developers to be creative.
George Lucas when he wrote and directed New Hope had serious financial problems, necessitating big creative risks to get the final product.

These franchises have had their time but retreading old ground is more financially viable in the short to medium term than the risk involved in creating a new IP.

Sitting on your butt for hours pushing buttons is not a real hobby. Imaginary points and progress. Getting angry and upset that you didn’t beat some other button pushing schnook or AI controlled pixels is lame. You are playing someone else’s game. It’s a psyop designed to get men hyper focused on each other like a bunch of pansies. A psyop to drain your pockets. A psyop for illusion of “community”.

This right above is what a loser would have said.

Yeah old franchises with little to no ideas left should just be closed with maybe a spin off after a while written decently to milk the IP, devs must do new things if they want muh success, an original concept puts you very ahead of your competition and then you only need good writers and game designers to make something good, but for most of them it seems like a pretty hard concept to make.
