I feel a lot of it is just acting. Watch how rich people behave in dinners on random restaurants, for some of them it's almost like a chore and they dress expensive or fancy clothes to be noticed every single time which must take a lot of effort by itself, but in reality they don't seem to know any better and it's like they are stuck onto that dynamic.
Those "rich" people arent truly high status. I have seen some poor people who live this way. Dont use technology, always living with ppl. Work friends, communal friends, religious gathering, family gathering, friends gathering. Always outgoing. Whenever there is tech work, they always know someone who can do it for them while they live irl with limited tech access. Its like those world leaders who have ppl to do things for them n brief of things they need to know. But ya at end of day its neurotransmitter pill. No sane person should want to live on internet or digital.
Imagine being the average medieval king with an almost primitive health system, a bathroom that barely works even though it's the best in the world, etc, you go out to hunt ducks everyday with barely any success and spend 4 hours dressing fancy stuff with a lot of buttons that barely fit you just for the sake of being different than the average peasant while you are mentally lying to yourself "I live the best possible life"
True. But what i really mean is people who live in reality and no online or in a tv show. Livin irl could also mean factory work to home and home to factory work. Only family time is the interaction. Doesnt sound as good as i think about it now.
Where you live? I have seen some poor high status people but only among fellow poor people. They generally act as connector between rich people and poor people. Leaders tbh. Could just be that i live in HK so polarised society with huge wealth gap.

The only way i see mid class people acting rich is if their parents have paid for them a good private school (With a lot of effort and sacrifice) and all their friends are rich, therefore they try to act as if they are also somewhat wealthy to fit in especially the girls, but it's a bit cringe from the outside if you actually know the person and her family.
