Genio alone?

Is it worth it getting genio alone? If not what are the reasons? According to some guys ratings of me I don’t need jaw surgery.

Would like to hear more opinions before doing such an invasive surgery.

Why though?

Mandible recession is very common nowadays (environment?), while maxilla is often not "chad"-grade, but totally medically "ok".
In general, projected maxilla for males is optional. Most chads do not have it beyond average. Some even recessed like Pattinson and Stallone.

Genio alone won't fix a recessed mandible. Recession is almost always due to angularity alongside with length, and even it is the latter case alone the advancement produced by moving the tip of the chin only isn't sufficient.

exactly and then your whole mandible would be recessed with additional bite problems, etc. not just your chin.

But why cannot you just move it "slightly forward", so that it matches the maxilla?

Ah, right.

I forgot that Genio splits and moves only the mandible bone mass. When one needs to move the whole jaw forward.

Yeah, but then OP needs moving his lower jaw forward.

But not bimax, since he probably does not need to do anything with his maxilla.

Is this forum filled with teens?? Really I don’t get it in my teens i was playing outside now that I am a young adult I guess this starts getting a little more important.

But the point is they know absolutely shit about surgery.
And why would you take surgery advice from people who you wouldn’t even take driving advice from, which even monkeys can do.

This place is good to get an overview but don’t take advice on what to do.
