hey guys so I got this procedure done in brazil about two months ago (saggital split, ramus widening 5mm each side, and genioplasty 6mm and a couple mm widened.

I had bimaxillary protrusion, but I already went thru invisalign so i didnt wanna do another 2yrs of braces

im still a bit swollen but before i post pre and post results, i wanted to ask

1. my surgeon pushed my mandible back slightly. my mandible looks a bit shorter when its pointed down, is this because my submental is loose (was only tight first month), or is the length an issue?

2. should i have gotten a lefort? instead? my surgeon did a great job but i asked for no lefort and i look overall better but not as robust as I expected

can i know who your surgeon was

dm bro i’m thinking of doing same exact surgeries but ramus lengthening too

DM, I’m curious

@tylerlooks22 do you have any functional problems with your tmjs after surgery? 5mm widening each side is quite a lot. i was told by multiple surgeons 2mm is the limit so you don't risk any problems
would you willig to sent before and after photos privately?

How much did it cost Bruv?

I hope you ascend! mirin the dedication! However mind that bzygomatic line should always be slightly bigger than bigonial line. You are enlarging your bigonial line and if your zygomatic line falls short you risk looking bloated ogre FYI

it looks fine, the bizygomatic is pretty in line

Was this done with custom plates or standard bent plates?

not too sure i think standard

Cool. Interested to see if a good ramus widening result was achieved with standard plates and if it will hold in the months following surgery, do try to stick around and post updates.
