I was out minding my own business the other day, I found 2 rocks and I began smashing the smaller one on the larger one to try and shape it the way I wanted to, basically how cavemen shaped their rocks.
I was struck by the similarity to bonesmashing. Anyway, it wasn't working very well just hitting them together, so I took the larger rock and started smashing it against a rock on the ground, and woah. Suddenly the forces being applied were much larger. I realized this could be extended to bone smashing. Instead of bringing the object to your head, bring your head to the object.
For my test I used a heavy metal object, in this case a cast iron pan.
pic related I began smashing my chin onto the side of the pan. the forces applied were much larger than regular smashing, I term this proto-smashing.
