Genuine Question about bench press

I am 16. 3 months training and bench 137.5kilo is this world class level or simply a lot sbove average but nothing crazy

What is the ratio with your body weight ?

Get to around 1.5 and then it’s a good bench. Target is 2 times BW though
nga are u trolling?😭 even top powerlifter can barely pull 2x body weight other than that yeah valid

for refernce Powerlifter Nathan Massiah could bench 130kg at his peak at 16 (BW 91kg which is only 5 kg less than me)
He was quite heavy for his height. I think he’s quite short.

He was 5’10 at 16 so yeah average height and he has had Brnch genetics like long arms but is number one JR powerlifter for weight world wide

Thanks bro for answer. Wasn’t sure but yeah I’d agree only reason I thought maybe elite was bc I’m a newbie in the gym

Elite level is around 2 times bw bench. Assuming you want to be a good power lifter, that’s what you’ll need.

true but at my age in PL competitions the winners normally have around 1.5-1.6x BW benches at my weight class

crazy good I barely bench 100 after 2+ years. I don't train bench tbh

Also remember that some people start very strongly but plateau quickly and others start with okay numbers but progress constantly for years. Look out for that.

If your bench starts to plateau, do dips.

Yeah I already do dips can do 40 BW dips never tried with weight as I don’t have a belt. But my bench in 3 months went from 95- nearly threee plates havent Plateuad yet fortunately

I’m a bench merchant so they aren’t nowhere near as good but 215kg DL and squat idk my one rep but I can squat 140kg x 6 with ease

Focus on them equally too if you want to be a power lifter

Yeah DL isn’t so bad. It’s Better than most powerlifter but squat I’d guess one rep is 170-180kg so good but not Powerlifting standard

Ur deadlift is crazy good for those stats. bench ur cucked on tho. Just focus on DL that’s actually crazy good depending on BW

I believe that in most gyms the kgs are fake
The biggest guy in my gym is a huge 6'5 full of muscle giant mf that looks legit like a powerlifter and he bench press 100kg

Because he probs has long arms. I use calibrated weights aka the coloured ones used in IPF. My bench is defo what I claim

ill try get to 68 by christmas and see how i look ill hyu then :smonk:

I go to a private gym for boxing (but it’s a real gym not just boxing gym) run by IPF so it’s defo real weights. I also know a guy around 6’7 who is HUGE and can only Bench 120kg at like 35 so it’s defo possible
