Stop spending 2 hours and 6 days a week going to gym. Stop kidding yourself about doing it for your "mental health," too. And stop telling yourself that the "pain is worth it," trying to make some pseudo philosophical statement about how important it is to subject yourself to being uncomfortable. Being a man with the ability to weather life's ever changing tides has nothing to do with you lifting free weights in a temperature controlled gym while you stare at yourself in a mirror and flex. Going to the gym isn't a testament to your ability to subject yourself to physical and psychological torture in the hopes of a better future, it's a vehicle for your vain self-improvement, and doesn't;'t compare to the pain that other challenges of life will subject you to.
Now before you take this message out of context, my point is this: be honest about the gym and why you're ACTUALLY going. You don't need to spend that much time in a a gym to lose weight, improve your cardiovascular system, increase the efficiency of your metabolism, and lower your risk for depressive episodes. Stop being disingenuous and shoving your beliefs about the gym down everyone's throat, believe it or not people have other interests that are just as worthy of their time and effort. You're not better than anyone else for going to the gym.
Also, gym bro culture is even more embarrassing and pussy-drying than barstool sports culture.
