If half your fam are flat nosed and others are sharp long nosed, then getting height is the same if you replace short nose for short height and long nose for tlal height.
That's how genetic recombination works. With nutrients playing some factor but not a big one overtime.
I think breeding out shorties is more of the reason height is getting taller with every passing age than nutrients for the most part.
