My grandmother made the best fried eggs and tomatoes you could imagine everytime she returned home.

That was the best gift i could ever ask from her, and i wouldn't change it even for a car.

I cry when thinking about my grandma, thinking that some time she won't be here...

Of course, just spend time with her and make the best out of it. It's the kind of thing non replaceable in life, you will always remember the good times with her, so it's best you increase them before she is gone.

And, most importantly, you gotta learn everything you can from old people. Ask them a lot about their life. Once they die their memories also abandon the world and all there is left is what they said to you, their life lessons, etc

Just do it. Don't think about it. Start with the most basic and unspecific stuff to let yourself loose

"What was school like in your time?" Or "How was your grandmother/mother like?"

Then after she answers you, you will just get naturally more specific questions until you get enough confidence between yourself and she will start giving you advise without even asking just because she wants to see you doing good.

It's one of the things i regret the most in my life, not talking and asking more things to my grandfather. He told me things and advice that turned out to be true from places i would have never imagined. There is just a wisdom you will never understand unless you get old, or you get it ingrained from old people telling you their personal experiences and since it's in person and from someone you know, you feel almost like you lived it yourself, unlike when you are watching a youtube video or a tiktok short.

Yeah, I'll try but i don't even really meet up with her anymore, she used to take care of me when i was younger but idk. I regret not asking my grandpa questions about the war and stuff. I could always chat with an old guy on the street tho.
