Confirmation bias is the tendency to search for, interpret, favor and recall information in a way that confirms or supports one's prior beliefs or values.
When I used to study psychology tirelessly (I still do just infrequently.) I came across a case of a girl who convinced herself she hated people and humanity in general. After digging more it was very apparent that due to her getting r@ped at a young age she demonized others in general.
let me get to the point: you can convince yourself of anything.
If you wake up and say "I'm ugly dude FUCK" you'll be looking for evidence of it all day to confirm the thought of this in your head
Same if you say: "IM SUCH A BADDIE GIRLIE" you'll be looking for evidence to confirm this bias.
Don't get me wrong you're probably still extremely ugly, but I digress.
@Fusionxz same thing with bad times, if something bad happens and you convince yourself you're worthless due to it. You'll poison your mind into believing it.
