It starts off slow and kind of boring.But really becomes absolutely legendary after the first arc and even though one would never assume it to have a big overarching story at the beginning, it really gets quite exiting and it has incredible fights, but more importantly amazing comedy, which dominates the show overall.Skip the first 2 episodes, those are terrible filler, nothing else should be skipped tho.It's literally the best anime of all time. Enjoy

I'm only talking about the first 2 episodes, those are terrible and have a run time of 40 minutes each.It also dosen't make much sense and is confusing af considering Shinpachi meets Gintoki in the 3rd episode for the first time, which is also where the manga starts off

I don't understand some of the japanese humour and I havent watched any of the mangas they make cross over episodes with.

Fights are very rare from episode 1-250 and are mostly against the main antagonists of the individual arcs. But it begins to escalate after that. But you shouldn't watch it if your main focus are fights considering 60% of the show is comedy
