The one on the right doesn't have downward growth, his jaw/chin is just thicker aka more masculine. Both have forward growth.

Also in a picture seen from profile, facial lengthening is less relevant than forward growth. The only importance of facial length from a side view picture is the ratio between your facial thirds.
Also when you have just a little of downward growth, any forward growth would add height to your face as your face is going down.
Downward growth isn't attractive, but forward growth occuring in a downward grown individual lengthen his face.
