In retrospect, my entire game was wrong from the start. I acted like a "friend" and not a potential lover or date.

There was never any romantic or sexual tension involved because I always kept our interactions in the "safe zone" with the regular "how did your week go" type questions.

There was no way she would be up at night thinking about our interactions when they were the run-of-the-mill convos she'd have with literally any other guy.

I'll use her as a lesson, I suppose. Do not act like a "friend" to girls you're interested in. You need to show some level of interest or tension straight from the bat.
