So yesterday I was in class and this topic came up naturally with a group of girls. For context I am 6'3 190lbs, visible abs, been training seriously for a year now and I genuinely think my physique is solid for an 18 year old.
Before you comment, I don't have a perfect body, and I know I still have a long way to go, I'm just in better shape than average for my age.
In my class there is this one girl who always finds excuses to touch me, she will come up saying she wants to tickle my stomach but she is literally just feeling the abs. She does not do this with anyone else. Nobody. Just me.
So the conversation shifts to physique preferences and almost every single girl in the group says they prefer guys with a belly. The dad bod type.
And here is the insane part, even the girl who literally cannot keep her hands off me said the same thing. The girl who goes out of her way to create physical contact with me and nobody else sat there and said she prefers a soft stomach.
I genuinely believe this is one of the biggest copes women tell themselves and each other. They say they want the guy with the belly because it feels safer to want something attainable. Wanting the fit guy puts them in a position where they have to compete with other women for him and most of them are not ready to admit that openly in a social setting. So they collectively agree on the safe answer.
But actions never lie. Words are free, you can say whatever you want with zero cost. But she is not touching the chubby kid in the back row. She is not finding excuses to be close to him. She is doing it to me. Every single day.
This is the exact same phenomenon you see in studies on mate preference where women publicly state they value personality and humor but when you track actual mate selection the physical component dominates initial attraction every single time.
What they say and what they do are two completely different datasets and if you are making life decisions based on what women say instead of what they do you are cooked.
The takeaway is simple. Never listen to what they say. Watch what they do. The hands do not lie.
I genuinely want your opinion.
