1 inch for shoes that don't have very thick soles. 0.5 inch for my air forces, thinking of trying 0.75 but 1 inch is too much for them, kind of obvious

Exactly, also if u decide to take them off all u have to do is soak or wash the shoes with hot water and the glue should loosen enough
