Improve body composition and strength (more muscle, less fat)
Spend some time with a girl in Asia
Improve cardio
Maybe do martial arts
Keep my house clean and tidy all year
Drink less than last year

Happy new year. Life's good and it's only getting better.

Get wife's citizenship. Indulge my boy in many new experiences. Maybe go camping with the family. Leave the US.

Oh your wife can get citizenship already this year?

Yeah, we'll have been here three years in June. She can apply in March but it won't be until June that she can get it. Applying starts the processing. Processing can take 3-9 months. So hopefully this year.

Is it typical to get citizenship after living only 3 years in the US?

For people married to citizens they only have to reside in the US for three years. For other greencard holders it's 5 years.

Why is that I wonder?
I don't know. Just makes it easier for those married to citizens.

We'll have to go to the Chinese embassy in Chicago to relinquish her Chinese citizenship afterward. I'm kind of looking forward to that. I've never been.

Then you both need a visa to visit China.

It's weird that getting citizenship takes shorter time if you get it through marriage compared to other ways since it makes marriage of convenience easier.

Yeah, we will need a visa. That's alright though. 10 year multiple 60 day tourist visa or we can still get a family visa that lets us stay at least a year at a time without leaving.

Most marriages are out of convenience though nowdays. It's sad. Financial crap.
