going to college spring semester

so for a lot people including my friends went to college on September (fall semester) however during that time period (sep 2024-December) I had a job and done some online stuff and have 19k saved up plus I was building a good credit score and my mom authorized me to her Amex plat card which means I can build my credit more with that card. I graduated highschool June 2024 and during that period I just did boxing everyday until now.

I feel like a dumbass tbh for not going to college earlier in September like everyone else and regret my decision, because I lost contact with some of my good highschool friends. But atleast I have alot of money saved. Luckily there’s another date for college on feb 10, and I’m gonna go. Is it a good idea starting as a freshman in spring semester? Anyone else done this?

no, I dont go to a community college. No hate on comm colleges but those and other rinky dink schools are the only ones that let u in spring semester. Once agin no hate bhai get ur edu.

most ppl make most friends in fall. not saying u cant though its easiest to make friends in ur major esp f its a hard one like CS cause u guys can work together etc. but like I said id just take the year off and keep working perhaps start studying for classes ahead of time. Say u want to test of chemistry go find the prof who teaches it and ask for his midterms and PSets, and u can begin studying that on ur own. I did that same exact thing over the summer and tested out of 2 semesters of gen chem. despite the fact I got a 1 in AP chem test. Also if ur still immature and care abt mogging, u 1 year from now will be so much better, stronger, better physique, esp MUCH MORE MATURE. Shit, If I went into college at 19 instead of 18 I would've been one of the biggest non athletes in my class, would've pulled more, but glad I didn't cause Its frankly stupid hooking up in college. Hope the advice helps.

I live 2 seconds from campus in an apartment I’m not from America so I’m kinda an international student but I have my papers lol. I expect to finish my first year next spring but I’ll be taking some summer classes so eventually I’ll catch back up with my class. Sophomore year Starts January next year for me. So far it’s been good I have lots of ppl im cool with from cultural clubs and then I’m pretty tapped in with the people of the city because two guys from my country own a night lounge and I go out there sometimes all in all pretty good man
