I am getting a new contract this month, so it's a good time to negotiate for higher-pay.

I will start with a demand of 12% with a willingness to go down to a 8% raise as my final offer. (the salaries are divided in certain steps/scales so 12% equals to 3 steps higher, 8% is 2 steps)
Else I am fine with not getting a new contract and I will be on unemployment benefits for the next 6 months (free money).

yes this factory has like 15-20% higher pay compared to those jobs. But the working-times are worse (bad hours, long shifts, have to be more flexible) and the work is more demanding.

ive been working here for 3 years. I don't mind losing this job if they dont accept my demands.
I am thinking of working at a clothing store next so that I get into contact with fashionmaxxing.

jfl man it's painfull but it's the truth.
Over the last 3 years that ive worked here, we went from 100% dutch speaking employees (0 foreigners), to 85% dutch speaking employees.(theres like 150 total of us at this location) 15% of us got replaced by foreigners who will accept lower wages and worse working conditions than nationals living here will.

The replacement is still somewhat gradual and slow and it seems like they get these people in 'droves', like they will get ~10 foreigners here at some random moment, then they are trained and start working and within ~3 months it turns out half of them aren't good-enough employees so they kick them out and they are sent back. So then now we have now 5 new immigrant employees on a total of 150.
They do this like once a year or so it seems, idk how it works.

In any case the process of how they do it is incredibly slow. I mean if I quit it won't mean shit to them honestly, but a 12% wage-increase wouldn't mean shit to them either if you get what I mean.
It's about whether they want to put in the effort to find a new guy or give me some insignificant raise.

The advantage I have is that I don't need this job so if I dont get at least 8% I will just quit and not give a fuck. I will be happy if they deny me and I can quit. I don't need the job.
