going to florida how do i get my social circle big while im there

i’m going to florida sometime the end of july with a friend of mine and i just wanna know how to get to know a lot of people. i am definitely not cold approaching because of past experiences but i don’t just wanna sit around with my friend like losers all day. i feel like having a friend there is a big boost bc he is pretty good looking and very interactive. also when i say social i mostly mean girls
