So my bottom teeth are crooked and I have overbite due to which my chin is a Lil recessed I am going to get braces , does braces cause more recession and what should I be careful or what extra should I get ?? Help me :feelsuhh:

it wont cause anything, it movesyour teeth, it wont fix your chin neither

i had braces for 2.5 years only fixed teeth and overbite (no elastics and no weird shit)

My doc is telling me that elastic might be needed but idk why like my overbite is very small

logical solution = advance the lower jaw

Will probably recess upper jaw a little bit. It will be ok in your case.
You should probably do braces unless you are planning bimax in the future, then camouflage treatment would be counter productive.

Its true that fixing an overbite might make the maxilla become a little bit more recessed. The recession may or may not be noticeable depending on the individuals condition, sometimes it doesnt cause any maxilla recession at all. You should confront your ortho about it and ask about their plan.
