Jordan wood talks about it and it's not moving bones it's pushing/pulling on them to produce stress and make bone remodeling occur to increase bone size. The only bone moving he talks about is spreading your mid palatal suture and maybe the premaxilla and btt method but im not sure.

For that to happen the pressure that is applied would need to be constant and even like that it would still not be physically possible, look at braces for example. The stress you talk about is known as orthodontic force. Which is only able to happen in teeth because they are anchored in the periodontal ligament (PDL), which is a soft tissue that allows gradual movement through bone remodeling (resorption and deposition). But when it comes to the zygomatic bones for example, these are a completely different type of bone which is a solid bone without any type of ligament, so moving them requires a different approach other then orthodontic force which usually is plastic surgery

Im not siding with either side but I believe he makes the argument that sutures are open until 25 years old suggesting that bones can be altered through force if hard enough and done consistently. he's not suggesting a big as a change as orthodontic force but I believe it was dr mew or maybe another doctor who summed it up to force equal change saying that it could work but has much more risk and a lower effect than constant force. Jordan wood doesn't promote the gonion pushing because he found no scientific evidence that it worked because there was no suture point in the mandible and he also doesn't recommend mandbile pulling but he promotes zygo pushing and other methods that he has found scientific information and you can tell they worked because his transformation in 1 year from 17-18 is crazy and he promotes his gonion growth and mandibile growth to condyle stimulation and his maxilla methods because the mandible grows with the maxilla.

The mandible doesn’t grow with the maxilla and here’s proof for that: Skip to 0:25

The mandible doesn’t grow with the maxilla and here’s proof for that: Skip to 0:25

jaw, can adapt to the maxilla, or upper jaw, through a process called "functional adaptation" where the muscles attached to the mandible adjust their position and activity based on the alignment of the teeth and the relationship between the two jaws, essentially allowing the mandible to "follow" the position of the maxilla to maintain proper occlusion (bite) during chewing; this adaptation can occur naturally during growth or in response to changes in the maxilla due to orthodontic treatment or other factors. However, if the changes are too abrupt, the mandible may struggle to adapt fully, potentially leading to malocclusion or TMJ strain.

You shouldn't even do maxillary expansion or try to get more forward positioning if it is already more developed than the mandible like if you have an overbite or bite issued

Then why didn’t the guy in the videos mandible adapt to his maxilla??

These methods that jordan wood promotes he says himself that if you had bite problems that these cannot completely fix them but they can help but he recommends going to an orthodontist

You can see subtle adaptation and I don't know the age of this guy and a 20 plus millimeter diffrence is a very very rapid expansion and the younger you are the more the mandible can adapt to the maxilla and the methods jordan wood promote have a 10x less rapid expansion or movement of the maxilla allowing the mandible to adapt
