Good looks vs striking

For a majority of people, good looks are simply looking even, healthy and physically appealing. A majority of people can actually achieve this simply by being in shape. Striking looks are what I think most people confuse as good looking, whereas it's something on another level.

Simply put, most people can actually be good looking . Everyone is worried about not being good looking when they are actually thinking in terms of striking good looks, which is entirely different.

Striking is the disproportionate expression of some trait such that it captures the eye because of how far it deviates from the norm or deviates from the other traits the person has

Many people can increase their general health indicators which is an aspect of good looks but not everyone can increase their averageness or symmetry which is arguably far more important

There are plenty of good looking people who have terrible health indicators. Occasionally some homeless guy will go viral for being hot and women will simply for him in the comments despite having very low current health status

Many models nowadays have striking features but poor looks

Many even have striking features as a result of having deficiencies in some other area such that their feature looks striking relative to their other underdeveloped features

The traditional model was kind of the opposite, higher in general appeal, averageness and symmetry. Not striking so much as a picture of ideal total development

Ideal is to have both good looks generally and striking features but this is far less common because it means either an extremely over developed feature or some unique balance of features that doesn't commonly occur

Yeah nowadays the industry has pivoted towards marketing to ugly people and with ugly people because a lot of these companies exist in degenerate western nations where the dominant culture is progressive marxist inversion of truth and beauty and the average citizen js gradually getting uglier, fatter and more resentful.

Similar to how many major brands have shifted to marketing towards fat women.

Contrarily if you look at the sites of modeling agencies in markets like Miami Florida, which have a more "right wing" or conservative population, the models are generally still traditionally handsome.
