This will only empower engineers to become more effective and productive. So much of the back-end and easily repeatable and foundational grunt work can be handled by AI while engineers can focus on issues that require true innovation, creativity, and daring.

Not an engineer btw. I believe this technology will be the next great leap forward for humanity.

This could displace workers, or rather it could make software engineers more productive allowing enterprises to spread resources across more projects, boosting the pace of innovation. Likewise, if coders are displaced they will be incentivized to become entrepreneurs further stimulating innovation and creating jobs and new technologies.

Don't be so negative brah. you're like a luddite afraid of textile machinery. Don't you see the potential brah? this is human ascension brah.

Society isn't only made up of top tier engineers.

But I agree that AI will be a great thing for humanity longterm but I think there are big changes coming up for many people.

Aka lots of poorly educated people will lose their jobs and will only be useful in hands on type labour.

I just went through that twitter thread and had a laugh. "Hand drawn sketch into a functional website" that is the most basic HTML code I've ever seen JFL :lul: :lul: :lul:. I use chat gpt almost daily to aid me in my programming, but it's not going to replace any programmers anytime soon. Why? Because coding is only 5-10% of the job, this will only make our lives easier.
