Growing my hair but..

It’s falling out and receding. Not horrible but you can tell when you look at me. I’m 4.5 months into growing it which sucks because I want to grow it for a year but I may shave it off in order to start minox for half a year and just keep trimming it while I apply minox and after that then I’ll grow it out again. It’s sacrifice but may be a necessary one. What do you think? Should I?
