I already made a thread on cheap booze that got a good response. So here's the next level. High end liquor but only the stuff that's actually worth it.
looksmax.org
Ive only included bottles that you can actually go up to a store and buy right no. No overhyped allocated bottles. No chasing Pappy Van Winkle or rare bottles you'll never find. Whats the point of me telling you they taste good when you can't find fhem. No paying $300 for some bottle Lebron nigger or Jordan nigger slapped their name on.No cincoro and that bullshit Or crazy prices of age stated Japanese bottles.
This is niggas who want refined taste quality and something impressive to sip, flex or gift to their fathers without playing the lottery or go out bottle hunting for months.
SCOTCH - Single Malts & Blends
When you are ready to spend. Scotch can be great option. In my previous thread Scotch like I said cheap Scotch tastes like ass but the expensive ones have a unique taste because theh have been aageing for so long. Scotches even vary by region due to this but I dont want to bore with details. I only included stuff you can actually buy so no Macallan 18 or stuff like that
GlenDronach 18 Allardice
Price: ~$180
Aged 18 years in sherry casks.Rich and dark. Dried fruits, chocolate, spice, and old leather.A full-bodied "sherry bomb" best enjoyed alone in silence next to a fireplace
Balvenie 21 PortWood
Price: ~$280
Finished in old port wine barrels for 30 years. Smooth, fruity, oaky, and subtle. Polarizing. You'll either love how refined it is or feel why tf I paid over 200$ for a bottle that is so soft
Johnnie Walker Blue Label
Price: ~$220
Blendwd but still Silky sweet blend with vanilla honey, and a touch of smoke.
Zero burn. Insanely easy to drink.
Casuals love it. Whiskey retards don't. Great for gifting to your boss or dad
BOURBON - High-End, Not Allocated
Wild Turkey Master's Keep (any edition)
Price: $180-250
Each release is different - Unforgotten, Revival, Bottled in Bond, etc.
What stays consistent is the quality is that deep oak, spice, vanilla, and complexity that lingers. Cask strength or high proof, but never overwhelming. Veteran pick. This is what you bring to impress a bunch of alcoholics
Woodford Reserve Batch Proof
Price: ~$150
It's the grown-up version of regular Woodford. Bold high proof bourbon (around 120-130), with waves of caramel, cinnamon, and charred oak.
Strong but not harsh perfect for slow sipping.
4. Maker's Mark Wood Finishing Series
Price: ~$90
Experimental wheated bourbon with stave finishing. Flavors vary by year (SE4, FAE01, BEP, etc.) but most of them have creaminess toasted oak, baking spices, and chocolate.Great mouthfeel. Also very unique flavour. Definitely recommend picking one up
WINE
I don't drink wine too much but my dad does and I've tried some he has bought. Wine gets confusing fast too many names, regions, grapes, and nonsense. These are accessible high-quality ones
ChΓ’teau Lynch-Bages Pauillac (Bordeaux, France)
Price: ~$150
Cabernet heavy red with blackberry, cassis. Strong but approachable. Dad loves this with a grilled steak.
Ridge Monte Bello (Santa Cruz Mountains, California)
Price: ~$200
A cult favorite California Cabernet blend. Dark fruit, spice, and minerality. Ages beautifully but drinks great now. Perfect for gifting or flexing at a dinner party.
What to Avoid
Celebrity liquor (Cincoro, Casamigos, Virginia Black they are all shit)
Japanese bottles. Ngl some of them can taste really good but they are very overpriced. 3x retail. Yamazaki 12 for $400. Lol
Flavored bourbons over $40. Just pay 100 dollars for sugar and artifical flavour theory
Luxury vodkas - it's just filtered ethanol at the end of the day. No point in paying shit ton of money. They all taste the same
Tips to drink liquor
-Use a Glencairn glass for full flavor it concentrates aroma. You don't want to be drinking your 200$ in some cheap glasses you found at the target
-Ice if you must, but try a few sips neat first.
-Add a drop of water. Just a drop. It breaks down the molecules and opens up the flavour.
-Over-oaked, buttery Chardonnays: I hate them and think it tastes like piss water. Avoid unless that's really your thing.
-Prosecco labeled "Extra Dry":It's actually sweeter than "Brut.
Food pairings:
-Dark chocolate with sherried Scotchs
-Grilled steak or ribs or chicken with high-rye Bourbon
-Cheese with malted blends
-Red Meats cooked medium rare with Wine

Guide to cheap whiskey that tastes good
https://looksmax.org/threads/should-i-make-a-thread-about-alcohol.1539733/ I see too many guys out here getting wasted on cheap vodka. If you're broke but still want something that tastes good, stop punishing yourself. What I recommend if you want to buy some cheap whiskey is buy bourbon...
