All the stereotypes about american gun owners being low IQ retards are true if these comments are anything to go by. You cannot control an entire country and its people with tanks, jets, battleships and drones or any of these things that you so stupidly believe trumps citizen ownership of firearms.

A fighter jet, tank, drone, battleship or whatever cannot stand on street corners. And enforce “no assembly” edicts. A fighter jet cannot kick down your door at 3AM and search your house for contraband.

None of these things can maintain the needed police state to completely subjugate and enslave the people of a nation. Those weapons are for decimating, flattening and glassing large areas and many people at once and fighting other state militaries. The government does not want to kill all of its people and blow up its own infrastructure. These are the very things they need to be tyrannical assholes in the first place. If they decided to turn everything outside of Washington D.C. into glowing green glass they would be the absolute rulers of a big, worthless, radioactive pile of shit.

Many gun owning Americans don't rely on their income to totally fed them, many have farms, agriculture, livestock, and land with the potential to be used if necessary. So in terms of starvation, many are set in that regard, along with many of the preppers among them.

Second,in response to the idea that drones and missiles could destroy a gun wielding population, for one, that weaponry is ideal for rival military powers, not civilian uprisings. Why would you use a missile to destroy a gun wielding population, if that would also destroy the infrastructure of the system that the same government would be trying to protect. Besides this, guns do pose a suitable threat against government infantry, such as police forces and the like that are the most likely to be used when suppressing rebellions.

Yes, and we have former military members among gun owners (which can actually serve for current soldiers an hesitation to shoot at rebelling gun owners). Even more, some of us have access to military equipment and vehicles, and we could even build weapons of mass destruction if given the resources and time. Put short, we have valid reasons for possessing firearms beyond sidearms, hunting, and sport.
