Had weirdest experience with a dog

I was walking past a house, and noticed a husky sitting in the front yard. I noticed the dog was looking at me so I looked at it back, this dog didn't take its eyes off me and was staring at me directly while I was walking past and he started turning his head to look at me because we were staring at each other while I was walking. The dog eventually broke it off and came closer to the gate it was enclosed in but wasn't looking at me anymore.
