Hair advice

I have incredibly thick straight hair, and I have no idea how to style it. When I use most products it either looks super greasy or looks frizzy. It’s currently probably 6 inches long in the front and 2 in the back mainly cause I’ve been delaying getting a haircut unsure what to get. Any suggestions for a haircut that’s not incredibly hard that would look good and products that I should try out?
