Just a short simple guide.

The higher your cheekbones, the higher your fade or blend should be.

Low cheekbones means the distance between your cheekbone and gonion is obviously shorter.

Having a high fade with low cheekbones will make your face look shorter and more bloated.

Whereas with high cheekbones, the distance to the gonion is longer so this is balanced out better with a high fade, good examples of people suiting this are Zayn Malik and Tommy Fookin Shelby:

If you have pct does it mean you will have higher cheekbones

Probably reason why fade does not fit me at all. I dont have high cheek bones.

Not really. Women and children, especially girls have lower cheekbones yet higher positive eye tilt than men. I think it's about how forward your upper maxilla is, rather.

Do you have a long-ish distance between your cheekbone and gonion? If so, higher blend would suit best.

curtains good for low cheekbones?

I find my face looks better when my hair is styled like this

Yeah could be good as it’s essentially the opposite of a high fade lol

My cheekbones are low set and my midface are bit longish.

Ahh I miss-read your post, thought you said you didn’t have low cheekbones.

If your cheekbones are low then try a lower blend.

I used to think fade didn’t suit me too until I got a lower one. If you just say fade to a barber most times they’ll take the fade too high, gotta specifically ask for a low fade.

Yeah this is 10000% legit
I always will stick with a lower fade

It's good to know what actually works for you
Thankfully we've eventually worked it out for ourselves

Only issue with low skin fade after 2 days it's grown out ffs

I’ve also figured out what makes low skin fades last longer lol

By stretching the fade I.e. having shorter hair on the sideburns than around the edges, it makes the fade effect last longer. Like have skin on sideburns then grade 1 around the edges. After a week you can then trim sideburns to prolong the fade effect with stubble trimmer.

Having skin on sideburns AND edges looks shit after a week when it’s all just grade 1.

Get what I mean?

Trust, this is coming from someone who’s dedicated their last 4 years to hair experimentation lol

High fade may suit you better as the distance between your cheekbone and gonion is relatively long.
But the thing with high fade is it will bring more attention to my long face and that is a bad thing no?

Long face isn’t always bad, it depends. Just like how short face isn’t always good.

You have high, prominent cheekbones, I think high fade would suit you.

Not on me; like imagine a grade 1 low fade, then faded into a 0 just on the sideburns.
Yeah my barber does that already
So he'll skin fade the side burns with foil shaver then a 0 above it

I'm sure you see it too but my fade is gone within a week hahah need a haircut every week ideally

Ahh fairs

Yeah my plan is to get it cut every two weeks but give myself a sideburn taper in-between with stubble trimmer

@Chadethnic101 If you get 0 above with skin on sideburns, maybe try 1 above instead for a bit more contrast. Would keep the faded effect for longer too, I think it looks worse grown out because it all looks like 1 length.

are high cheekbones associated with longish midface?

My face is structured different to Christian bale, I have a low gonial angle and low cheekbones instead. I don’t think there is any association between cheekbone height and midface length.
