I tried my best, it's not going to be a BOTB type I feel, since am still new to the whole formatting and also knowledge base is still newbie level but here goes my best
spend some extra money and go to a hairdresser and talk to them and let them guide you, because for hair advice you NEED to see it in person or at least a good pic and a good genuinely well accomplished hairdresser,
barbers are good for simply ordering around to do it again, so just get the lengths and ways to achieve your best hairstyle/cut and note down the measurements and tools they used at the hairdressers and go to a barber from then on and replicate.
This is the best advice I can give along find a face shape you align with mainly (most are 8- to 9-% in line since everyone's face is a bit diff due to fat distribution, and so on), even when am bloated and right now fat as fuck at 20%+ fat I have a diamond face shape, there's guides online for that, take your cheekbone-to-cheekbone/zygo measurements, your forehead and lower jaw and chin and use the description for the face shapes given to align as many values will be larger or smaller than others
another thing is use the BOTB hair CARE guides since I haven't found anything on hairstylemaxxing, choose what aligns by you since BOTB is one of the best resources IMHO to do looksmaxxing especially softmaxx methods and hard (I suggest softmaxx before even thinking of hardmaxx and wait 3 years after ur well over 25 to do that shit if you truly are dying to do so but even then don't recommend as it is a huge financial burden for low returns really. UNLESS YOUR LITERALLY DEFORMED PHYSICALLY. then good luck.
feel free to add on I hope soon there can be hair style guides since theres not so many I can find
