What is your actual hair colour?

Brother that's too ambiguous to a question to answer without photographs. We don't know if your hair is curly, long, thick, fine, receded, etc.

First, identify which face shape you have - round, square, diamond, triangle, oval, etc. This will be the ultimate litmus test of what hairstyle works well with your features.

Don't be too caught up on trends, and don't try to emulate a hairstyle that doesn't harmonise with your facial features.

Because of my facial features and bone structure, I would look like a raging bull dyke if I adopted the curtains hairstyle, which would look absolutely fucking horrific on me. I naturally have a diamond face shape, so I always tend to lean towards a skin fade with a short crew cut to accentuate my facial angles. Again, it's not about following trends - it's about finding a hairstyle that increases your facial harmony.

The key is identifying your facial features and knowing how to accentuate these positive features, and how to manipulate or conceal any facial flaws. (E.g. adding length on top to create facial length on a naturally short face, having shorter sides to 'slim' a wider face, etc.)
