I think one of the reason people are less happy is that too few people are dying.
Death is more and more becoming abstract to people.
People are living way too long, this is why when you look at countries with some of the longest longevity you also got some of the highest suicide rate.
Death is so unfamiliar to them they start wanting to experience it.
We now have to endure capitalistic slavery of alienated labour for 60 years of our life : Your life's energy is at another man profit.
Our health is bad enough we struggle to get up yet good enough to live well over 80years.
It is like we spread our life force through a wider timespan thus :
We are simply less for longer.
This is why i want to die by 40,
anyway live fast and die fast
