Need Advice.

I'm currently 22 and have a recessed mandible, maxilla and narrow palate, all of these are not severe but add up, this has lead to mild sleep apnea, TMJ, and migraines.

Due to this I am leaning towards getting any surgery / or orthodontic work that would assist me with better QOL, BUTTTTTTTT If I can improve aesthetics why wouldn't I do that as well.

What are the best procedures / orthodontics work that would benefit me the most?

What could I also get under insurance / at a decent price point.

Thank you!

you don't really have any malocclusion, but since you have functional issues I would schedule with a orthodontist, get scans and then consult with a orthographic surgeon

I feel like I have a pretty recessed maxilla / mandible. It's more apparent when I smile but I already am consulting with ORTHO just want to know which procedures would give best aesthetic improvements.

Currently it looks like they want to do MARPE but I worry it will make my lower jaw look even weaker.

marpe won't make your jaw look worse, at all its not real how that works, unless you over expand. You could do a bimax after marpe but again you have no maloclussion and I don't see many surgeons accepting you as a candidate. I just got my marpe placed and Im doing trimax, but Im also a genuine surgical case

Would MARPE provide any aesthetic benefit or just functional? I want to get Bimax but I dont think I would get it covered under insurance due to all issues being so mild, would a herbst device work at my age, i'd imagine not.

marpe adds slight benefit but its nothing like bimax, and its not necessarily about wether or not insurance covers your bimax because insurance bimax the results are shit and you don't want that, the question is wether or not the aesthetic surgeons will perform on you such as ramieri pagnoni, Alfaro and many more, that's why you need to discuss with your ortho if you are at all a surgery candidate. forget about Herbst your clearly grown

Yeah makes sense, honestly I personally feel like my mandible is the weakest point on my face and it drives me nuts, but I can't do any sort of hardmax surgery out of pocket additionally it feels like cope to change my natural structure.
