I have a question for hardmaxing so here's the situation-- I am 15 turning 16 in 2 months I have underbite, crowded teeth, cross bite, recessed chin, flat maxilla and most importantly a lower jaw symmetry. I recently went to a consultation with a orthodontists who found all those problems and also stated that one side of my jaw grew way more than the other. I have more growth on one side of my jaw by an entire tooth if you know what I'm saying.

The orthodontist said I could either [get lower jaw surgery when I'm 18-20] or [get a tooth extracted and then get braces put in]. I'm leaning more towards lower jaw surgery better yet bimax or trimax since I've heard negative things about tooth extractions and braces won't fix my maxilla recession.

Final question: Should I get bimax or trimax? I've heard that double jaw surgery can fix your rrecessed chin because of the maxilla yatata but I've also heard otherwise.
And another thing, based on my issues do you think I will need braces even with surgery? Can trimax/bimax fix my teeth issues too?

Surgery and orthodontics are a team effort. They do not replace each other, they work together. you will need straight teeth BEFORE surgery, and should likely get a consultation from another orthodontist to be safe

alright, i'm honestly just scared a tooth extraction will ruin my mid face

Look into "socket preservation" (a kind of bone graft) and bring it up to your dentist/orthodontist
