Has anyone here actually tried getting their acne scars lasered off? If so what were the results and what type of scars did you have beforehand?

The real question is that what kind of scars do you have. If you have full on pockmarks and super deep indentations in your skin, it's over. There are some filler options, but those types are almost always permanent. If you have hyperpigmentation like me, they're pretty easy to get rid of. I'm microneedling them right now, I'll see how that turns out. Planning on getting a few laser treatments in the coming months. They work very well for my type, but it depends on what you have.

Yeah, rlly depends on if u ned ablative laser / chemical peel. Yes though. A fractional c02 laser can run u around 300-400 and will help a lot

I have post inflammatory erythema, so hyperpigmentation basically. I don't have any deep marks anywhere it just looks red and like acne when I have none. do you think I would benefit from getting the laser treatment? Have you see any results with microneedling?

The microneedling is dimming their appearance already. And I've been on a prescription gel since July... I think you'd benefit from laser 100%. Anyone with these scars would.

My doctor recommended it to me, but I want to take accutane first before that since I still have acne.

what gel are you using? I might try the microneedling myself.

I'm afraid my advice would be useless here unfortunately. I've not gone above 1.5, nor had enough experience to be able to compare prof vs. DIY. For the cream though I use Zensa, may not be ideal since it's used for tattooing but works for what I do. Sorry Master.

It’s okay, son. What depth do you use? Is it intentional for collagen-building i.e. atrophic scars, or do you microneedle to get better absorption of a specific ingredient?

1mm for collagen due to scarring. The lido is practically unnecessary for it but I'm a pussy.

I have had 4 sessions of laser genesis for my acne scarring but ive also been on accutane for the past ~5 months. Its a little hard to know what was scarring, and what was acne but im pretty confident it has removed alot of my actual scar tissue, especially the less major scarring on my left cheek. Also have another 2 left btw.

It was pretty expensive, around $1800AUD, luckily i have really good parents who work good jobs, you have to wait minimum 4-6 weeks between sessions, and I was very prone to freckles especially during summer but they've pretty much gone away.
